The Mechanical and Plumbing Industry Council is proud to announce that we have joined in a labor-management-OSHA partnership. Other Partners in the program are

The Partnership is designed to foster a stronger relationship among the Partners and establishes minimum criteria for contractors to be considered "Elite". It goes without saying that with Elite status comes the necessity to have an outstanding safety program. Through implementation of enhanced training programs and communication, Elite Contractors are afforded the opportunity to lessen OSHA inspection activity directed at their company, and receive the maximum benefit of penalty reduction if a citation were to occur.

Contractors interested in this program must apply by September 30, 2004 to be considered for the program year beginning October 1, 2004. Contractors not meeting the requirements can apply again next year.
